根據中央氣象局梅姬陸上及海上颱風警報，梅姬清晨時強度略增，暴風圈大約清晨5時，碰觸到花東陸地，並逐漸進入台灣東半部，對台灣各地及澎湖、金門、馬祖構成威脅，各地風雨逐漸增強。
嘉義地區從凌晨至上午9時，並沒有明顯雨勢，但有刮起陣風，零星雨勢並沒有造成道路落石、坍方，因此，阿里山公路上午沒有實施預警性封閉，不過，依據中央氣象局預報，嘉義山區會出現局部大豪雨，預計中午後實施預警性封閉。
因應中度颱風梅姬，阿里山森林遊樂區自昨天下午休園，禁止遊客進入園區，不過，休園前就有遊客入園區住宿飯店，因此，上午仍有62人未下山，嘉義林管處已勸導，遊客將在中午前下山，避免受困山上。
嘉義縣警察局竹崎分局山地各派出所，於颱風期間執行入山管制及登山客勸離工作，截至上午8時已勸離玉山群峰登山客399人、勸阻未上山593人；另配合阿里山鄉公所執行預防性撤離重症病患及土石流潛勢區住戶。1050927
